Test on first 3 weeks content

Revise for your test on Scientific Method, Experimental Variables and the Metric System. Use all handouts supplied since the beginning of the semester. Know the steps of the scientific method, how to use metric units and understand the experiment with paper airplanes.
Test will be on 9/7/06. The score will count towards your grade, so try your best!

Week 3

Last weeks storms have delayed the data collection phase of the paper plane lab till this week.
Instead in week 2, students explored lab safety rules and the forces that act on airplanes.

Monday: Plane lab: Test flights and Data collection
Tuesday: Plane lab: Data Analysis, conclusions and lab write up.
Wednesday and Thursday: Scientific measurement, metric system and density lab
Friday: Science and Pseudoscience - "Lunar Hoax"

Monday: What factors affect paper plane performance? Students will perform a scientific investigation over this week using the scientific method.
Tuesday: What is the scientific method?
Wednesday:Measurement in lab work
Thursday: Lab work: aerodynamics
Friday: Labwork: Data Analysis and experiment write-up.
